Sharing knowledge engineering for digital humanities

چکیده
In this paper, we present a first attempt to integrate Collaboration Engineering with Lean Six Sigma principles applied to Project-based Learning. On the one hand, collaboration is a social and interactive process, where participants join efforts toward a shared common goal. On the other hand, Lean Six Sigma is a unique methodology integrating a shared language, statistical measuring and effective process management techniques, using Axiomatic Design to structure and optimize the training model needed for Project-based Learning. Speaking a common language allows to improve interfunctional problems where people with different competences are involved. Drawing on Collaboration Engineering and the Lean Six Sigma logical model, the paper explores the use of a collaboration ontology to capture and share knowledge about collaboration work and processes.

متن کاملThe FAST-CAT: Empowering Cultural Heritage Annotations
The role of annotations in digital humanities is well known and documented (Agosti et al., 2004, 2007) (Bélanger, 2010). Subsequently, many different tools which allow for the annotation of digital humanities content have been developed. Unfortunately, tools designed specifically for an individual portal are typically only compatible with that system. More general solutions, which can be easily...

At the core of this book are convictions derived from a combination of theoretical investigations into problems of knowledge production and experimental projects conceived under the general rubric of speculative computing. Speculative computing arose from a productive tension with work in what has come to be known as digital humanities. That field is constituted by work at the intersection of t...

During the last years, in particular due to the Digital Humanities, empirical processes, data capturing or data analysis got more and more popular as part of humanities research. In this paper, we want to show that even the complete scientific method of natural science can be applied in the humanities. By applying the scientific method to the humanities, certain kinds of problems can be solved ...
متن کاملTransformation from manufacturing process taxonomy to repair process taxonomy: a phenetic approach
The need of taxonomy is vital for knowledge sharing. This need has been portrayed by through-life engineering services/systems. This paper addresses this issue by repair process taxonomy development. Framework for repair process taxonomy was developed followed by its implementation. The importance of repair process taxonomy has been highlighted.
